DupGrup is designed to be a local utility. All file scanning, duplicate identification, and file management (moving or deleting) happen entirely on your personal computer. None of your file names, metadata, or content are ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party services.
DupGrup does not require an internet connection to function. It does not "call home" or send telemetry data. Your privacy is guaranteed by the fact that the application operates in an offline-first capacity.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not track your location, your hardware ID, or your usage patterns.
